Annual Camp 2014

Annual Summer Camp this year will be taking place Saturday 26th July to Sunday 3rd August. The venue this year will be Roadford Lake, Devon; this is a venue is completely new and will give us a change of scenery this year.  There will be a large number of both land and water based activities which will take advantage of this amazing site. The activities we do are to help develop skills, not only boating but cooking and taking responsibility for the upkeep of the site. There will a huge opportunity to gain badges, make friends and of cause most importantly have fun. During this camp we will be utilising all of the boats and equipment that Third Walsall Sea Scouts has to offer, which will give the opportunity to undertake challenges that can only be done during this camp. Such as nautical skills badges.

Joining the Third Walsall Sea Scouts

Third Walsall Sea Scouts are a Royal Navy recognised Sea Scout troop based in Walsall, West Midlands. Of the 10,000 scout troops in the UK just 103 troops have qualified to be recognised by the Royal Navy.

We are an active troop with over 100 members and are rapidly expanding. The scout section is lead by a team of fully qualified leaders and helpers that enable a full range of both shore and water based activities.

I would like to invite Scouts and Explorers to a 6 week course of Kayaking at Snyed School Swimming Pool. The sessions will cost £6 for a one hour session between 3:30 and 4:30pm. There will be a level 4 coach on hand to help Scouts and Explorers to develop their skills in a warm, clean and safe enviroment. From paddling forwards to developing a range of rolling techniques. Spaces are very limited and it will be on a first come first served basis.
